Style 274 AKII Hydropacking™ is an advanced general service packing for most industries, incorporating expanded TFE/graphite as the primary sealing yarn with two diagonally braided anti-extrusion corners of meta-aramid yarn.

Services include acids, bases, gasses, oils, black, green, red and white pulping liquors and other water based fluids. Not suitable for strong oxidizers, free halides, and molten alkali metals.

Applications

Applications include reciprocating and rotating pumps, agitators, blenders, mixers, washers, wicket gate and rising/rotating stem valves. Especially effective in refiners, digesters, and hydropulpers within paper mills. Recommended for waste water, dredge and sewage applications as well as hydroelectric facilities.


Style 274SC AKII Vibradamp™

Style 274SC AKII is manufactured from the same yarns as our Style 274 AKII with strategically placed silicone (SC) cores. The resilient elastomeric cores in concert with our ANTI-KEYSTONE® II design reduce the leakage and gland adjustments where shafts on agitators, hydroturbines, and other equipment are out-of-round, vibrate, or subject to impact.

Applications

Applications include all the equipment listed for Style 274 AKII Packing, within the limits specified, where vibration and shaft eccentricity is a problem. Style 274SC AKII has proven to be extremely successful in effectively sealing expansion joints and penstocks.


Style 106 AKII Meta-Aramid Fiber Packing

Services

Style 106 AKII is manufactured from one of the strongest yarns avalible, texturized continuous filiment meta-aramid, impregnated with PTFE and treated with a break-in lubricant.

Style 106 AKII is the optimal choice for abrasive services especially in the mining industry. White non–staining Style 106 AKII may also be used in water based solutions, oils, solvents, refined products, and crudes in the petroleum industry.

Applications

Because of its high strength Style 106 AKII is one of the best packings available for slurry pumps, hydropulpers, sludge pumps and dredge pumps. Also appropriate for rotating shafts and reciprocating rods, rams, and presses.

Style 104 AKII is our general service and paper mill packing manufactured from TFE/graphite composite yarn with four anti-extrusion corners braided from traditional aramid yarn.

Style 104 AKII effectively seals against sulfate white, black, and green liquors, caustics, sulfite red or black liquor condensate, oils and pulp and paper stock.

Applications

Premier packing for agitators, thick stock pumps, repulpers, refiners and various process pumps within the paper mill.
